Meet two of the young people you’re supporting

This is Eloise

A bright and bubbly 3-year-old who recently discovered the joys of fairy floss and loves to dance.

When Eloise was diagnosed at risk of cerebral palsy at only a few months old, her parents were told their little girl may never be able to move, communicate or eat independently.

But, with the support of the Big Steps Fund, made possible entirely by kind people like you, Eloise was able to start early intervention therapy at only 5 months old.

Now, her parents can watch their daughter lead the life she chooses: one full of laughter, ballet and horse riding lessons.

This is William

A determined little boy who enjoys nothing more than spending time with his two brothers and eating his favourite snack: chocolate custard.

With the physical challenges of his cerebral palsy, William can’t hold most standard toys, let alone play with them. That’s where an assistive technology called switch toys, funded by generous supporters, came in and changed everything.

Using his switch, William is able to activate his iPad and several other toys, enabling him to participate meaningfully in play and learning, both independently and with his older brother Lachie.
